The Los Angeles campuses we run to
On a campus this size the street address will put a vehicle at a perimeter fence. The building is the only useful instruction. Los Angeles campuses are large, gated and spread across the basin, and several of the medical centres sit in the densest traffic on the Westside. Much of our academic and medical work here is recurring — visiting faculty, candidates, trustees and families on a schedule — and it rewards a chauffeur who already knows which gate is open and which entrance serves which department.
Universities and medical centres. The universities and hospitals generate steady academic, research and patient travel, and several sit on large campuses where the street address will put a vehicle at the wrong gate entirely.
UCLA
Westwood
A large campus in Westwood with several entrances serving different parts of it, and traffic around it that is heavy at almost any hour. Gate access varies by time of day and by event. We confirm the building rather than accepting the university name, because the walk between two ends of this campus is a serious one.
USC
University Park
Just south of Downtown next to Exposition Park, which means museum traffic, Coliseum events and campus traffic all share the same approaches. On a game day the area is effectively closed. The campus itself is walled with controlled vehicle entrances.
Caltech
Pasadena
In Pasadena, compact and straightforward to reach outside peak, and a genuine drive from the Westside across the hills at any other time. Closer to Burbank than to LAX by a wide margin, which matters when visiting academics are booking flights.
Loyola Marymount
Westchester
On the bluff above Playa Vista and unusually close to LAX — among the shortest campus runs we quote anywhere. The hilltop approach is single-access and queues at the start and end of the teaching day, which is worth an extra few minutes rather than an apology.
Pepperdine
Malibu
In Malibu above the Pacific Coast Highway, and the highway is the journey. When PCH closes or slows there is no alternative worth the name. Commencement and parents weekends here are planned around the road rather than the distance, and we say so at booking.
Occidental College
Eagle Rock
In Eagle Rock, north-east of Downtown and well away from the Westside traffic that defines most of this city. A comfortable campus to work, with proper vehicle access and no meaningful congestion outside the immediate school run.
Cedars-Sinai
Beverly Grove
On Beverly Boulevard in dense Westside traffic, with multiple entrances serving different departments and a forecourt that is busy constantly. The entrance you need depends on the appointment rather than the address. Treatment days are better booked hourly.
UCLA Medical Center
Westwood
Adjacent to the university campus and sharing its traffic, with separate access for different services. Ronald Reagan and the Santa Monica campus are distinct sites and the names are easily confused at booking, so we confirm which one before the day.
Keck Medicine of USC
Boyle Heights
On the Health Sciences campus north-east of Downtown, a separate site from the main university and a genuinely different journey. Sitting close to the freeway interchange, it is easier to reach from the east than from the Westside.
City of Hope
Duarte
In Duarte, well east of the city and a long run from the Westside or the airport. Patients and families travel here from across the country, and the return time is rarely knowable, which is why we recommend hourly hire rather than a booked pickup.
To the Los Angeles campuses
Door to campus, ordinary conditions. Commencement and move-in weeks are not ordinary conditions and we plan those separately rather than adding a margin.

How Los Angeles campus transfers are priced
Campus transfers are quoted per route and confirmed in writing before you travel, with no surge pricing at any hour. Recurring academic bookings — the same route on a regular schedule — are set up as a standing arrangement with a named chauffeur wherever we can.
For a family visiting several campuses in a day, hourly hire is both cheaper and very much less stressful than a chain of separate transfers, particularly when two of them sit on opposite sides of the hills.
