Van Nuys (VNY)
In the Valley and one of the busiest private fields in the region, with a large number of FBOs spread around a big site. The FBO name matters far more than the airport name when a vehicle is dispatched here — the walk between two of them is not a walk. Well placed for the studios and Valley business, a real drive from the Westside at peak.
Hollywood Burbank (BUR)
Handles both commercial and private traffic, which makes it unusually convenient for a party splitting between the two. For anyone heading to Burbank, Glendale or Pasadena it is the shortest ground time in the region, and its FBO access is straightforward rather than sprawling.
Santa Monica (SMO) and the southern fields
Santa Monica sits closest to the Westside and operates under real constraints on aircraft type and hours, so it suits some movements and not others. Long Beach and John Wayne serve the south and are the right choice for Orange County entirely. We will say which field fits your day before you file rather than after you land.
