The Los Angeles hotels we run to
The Beverly Hills houses sit within a few minutes of each other, which makes a multi-hotel morning pickup genuinely practical here. Almost nowhere else in this city is that true. Los Angeles hotels cluster in three places that behave differently: Beverly Hills and the Westside, the beach, and Downtown. Which one you stay in decides your ground time more than anything else you choose. Most of these properties have proper forecourts and staff used to chauffeured arrivals; the exceptions are the ones on avenues where kerb access disappears in the afternoon, and for those we agree a cross-street pickup at booking.
These are the addresses people actually give a chauffeur in Los Angeles. In a city this spread out, the useful knowledge is not where a place is but when you can reasonably get there.
Where visiting executives stay. The Beverly Hills and Century City houses take most of the entertainment and legal business, with the beach properties drawing technology and media work and the downtown hotels serving the convention trade.
The Beverly Hills Hotel
Beverly Hills
Set back from Sunset behind its own drive, with a forecourt that handles vehicles well even at a busy checkout and staff who manage arrivals closely. One of the easier luxury pickups in the city. The run down to Santa Monica Boulevard adds a few minutes worth allowing for on a tight LAX departure.
The Peninsula Beverly Hills
Beverly Hills
On Little Santa Monica at the Century City edge, which makes it the best-placed luxury house in the city for anyone whose meetings are in the towers. The entrance works well. Its position also means an early departure avoids the worst of the Wilshire corridor entirely.
Waldorf Astoria Beverly Hills
Beverly Hills
At Wilshire and Santa Monica, a corner that is busy at almost any hour but has a proper covered entrance set off the main flow. Straightforward to work. Sits close enough to the Peninsula and the Maybourne that a multi-hotel collection is a few minutes rather than a leg.
Hotel Bel-Air
Bel Air
Up Stone Canyon on a narrow residential road with a small, discreet arrival court. The approach is genuinely tight and not somewhere to send a vehicle that has not been before. We allow more time from here than the distance suggests, because the canyon road is the constraint rather than the traffic.
Four Seasons Los Angeles at Beverly Hills
Beverly Grove
On Doheny just off Burton Way, quieter than its address implies and with a forecourt that works properly. A good base for anyone splitting time between the Westside and Downtown, because it sits slightly east of the Beverly Hills cluster and saves a few minutes eastbound.
The Maybourne Beverly Hills
Beverly Hills
On Canon Drive a block from Rodeo, which is both its appeal and its difficulty. The hotel entrance is workable; the surrounding blocks lose kerb access through the afternoon. We work from the hotel drive itself and time arrivals against the shopping traffic rather than ignoring it.
Chateau Marmont
West Hollywood
On Sunset with a steep, narrow entrance off the boulevard and very little room at the top. It is a difficult arrival by any standard and the hotel knows it. We approach from the correct direction, which is not optional here, and hold below rather than blocking the drive.
Shutters on the Beach
Santa Monica
On the sand at Pico, with a forecourt that works and a location closer to LAX than almost any hotel of its class. Beach traffic on a summer weekend is a genuine factor and the numbers below assume it is not one; for a Saturday departure we start earlier and say why.
Hotel Casa del Mar
Santa Monica
Next door to Shutters and sharing the same approach and the same advantage of being near the airport. The entrance is on Ocean Way and handles vehicles comfortably. For a party split across both hotels a single collection is straightforward, which is not true of most pairs.
Fairmont Century Plaza
Century City
In the middle of the office towers with structured access designed for vehicles, making it one of the most reliable pickups in the city. If your meetings are in Century City you can stay and work without a journey between the two, which is worth more here than it sounds.
InterContinental Los Angeles Downtown
Downtown
In the Wilshire Grand with a dedicated vehicle entrance below the tower, which keeps arrivals off the street entirely. Downtown traffic is bidirectional, so a journey against the flow moves far better than the map suggests and we plan departures accordingly.
The West Hollywood EDITION
West Hollywood
On Sunset with a proper porte-cochere set back from the boulevard, which matters on a road where stopping is otherwise enforced quickly. Well placed for the Strip and for studio work, and a short run to Burbank when the flight allows it.
From the Los Angeles hotel districts to the airports
Door to kerb, ordinary conditions. Beverly Hills and the beach are genuinely different journeys to LAX, and the difference grows the later you leave.

How Los Angeles hotel transfers are priced
Hotel transfers are quoted per route and confirmed in writing before you travel, with no surge pricing at any hour. Hourly hire suits a day that starts and ends at the hotel with several stops in between, which in this city is most days worth booking a car for at all.
If you have not chosen the hotel yet, the district decides your ground time more than the room rate decides your bill. Tell us where the meetings are and we will say which cluster actually works.
