Orlando airports
Orlando International (MCO)
Among the busiest airports in the country, with two landside terminals and airside concourses reached by automated trains, plus a newer terminal that operates almost as a separate airport. The walk from gate to kerb is long and the arrivals levels are genuinely busy. We confirm which terminal against the flight number and meet inside rather than asking you to find a vehicle outside.
Terminals A, B & C · Long gate-to-kerb · Meet & greet
Orlando Sanford (SFB)
North-east of the city, small, quick to clear and a genuine drive from the resort corridor. For anyone staying in Lake Mary, Sanford or the northern suburbs it is comfortably the better arrival point; for a convention hotel on International Drive it rarely is, and we will say so rather than let the fare decide.

Private aviation
Orlando Executive sits close to downtown and handles a large share of the corporate traffic, while Kissimmee Gateway serves the resort corridor to the south and Sanford takes larger aircraft. Executive is minutes from the business district in a way MCO is not. For private arrivals we work from the tail number and coordinate with the FBO directly. Tell us the field and the FBO when you book and we will confirm coverage before you travel.

Where we work in Orlando
The Convention Center & International Drive
We confirm the hall, not the building. The second-largest convention floor in North America, surrounded by the densest hotel concentration in the region. We confirm the hall rather than the building and work from agreed points in show weeks.
Lake Buena Vista & the resort corridor
Give us the building or tower, not the resort. The resorts here are enormous properties with gated entrances, internal road networks and buildings a mile from the gate. We ask for the building or the tower at booking, because arriving at the right gate and the wrong building costs twenty minutes in Florida heat.
Downtown Orlando & Winter Park
A world away from the resort corridor. The legal, financial and government business sits downtown, with Winter Park just north carrying the affluent residential and boutique hotel work on narrow, tree-lined streets. Both are a world away from the resort corridor in character and in how they drive.
Lake Nona & the medical city
The closest district of consequence to MCO. It generates steady visiting-physician and patient travel, and it is the closest district of consequence to MCO — among the shortest transfers we quote here.
Heat, storms and the afternoon
Afternoon storms are planned for, not a surprise. Summer afternoon storms here are routine rather than exceptional and they delay arrivals most days for months. We plan around them rather than treating each one as a surprise, pre-cool the vehicle before arrival and carry water.
Typical journey times across Orlando
Orlando moves well on the toll roads and badly on International Drive, and which of those your journey uses matters more than the mileage.
| From | Approx. distance | Off-peak | Allow in peak |
|---|---|---|---|
| Convention Center & I-Drive | 13 miles | 20–28 min | 35–60 min |
| Downtown Orlando | 11 miles | 18–25 min | 28–45 min |
| Lake Buena Vista resorts | 18 miles | 25–32 min | 40–65 min |
| Winter Park | 15 miles | 22–30 min | 32–50 min |
| Lake Nona | 8 miles | 12–18 min | 20–32 min |
| Sanford to downtown | 28 miles | 32–42 min | 45–70 min |

Resort & hotel transfers in Orlando
Several of these sit on properties spread across hundreds of acres with more than one entrance. We ask for the building or tower at booking; the resort name alone will put a vehicle at a gate with a long walk still to go.
Events & venues in Orlando
The OCCC has north and south buildings that are a genuine distance apart and not interchangeable. We confirm which one and which hall, because arriving at the wrong building is a fifteen-minute correction on a show day.
Kennedy Space Center and the Cape are an hour east and a common day hire, particularly around a launch. Launch days fill the coastal roads completely and need planning rather than an estimate.

Universities & campuses in Orlando
AdventHealth and Orlando Health are large campuses with separate entrances for different services, and treatment days are better booked hourly because the return time is rarely knowable.
