Orlando arrivals

MCO is among the busiest airports in the country and the walk from gate to kerb is long. The terminal you land in is the detail that matters. Orlando International moves an enormous number of people through two landside terminals and a newer third that functions almost as a separate airport. Airside concourses are reached by automated trains, so the journey from seat to kerb is genuinely long and arrivals levels are busy. We confirm which terminal against the flight number, meet inside rather than asking you to find a vehicle outside, and pre-cool the car before we arrive.

Terminals A, B and C

A and B share one landside building reached from the main roadway, while Terminal C is a newer facility on the south side with its own approach entirely. A vehicle sent to the wrong side of the airport is a real problem rather than a short walk. We check against the flight number on the day, because carriers have moved.

  • A and B together
  • C is separate
  • Checked on the day

The walk is longer than people plan for

Airside concourses connect to the landside terminals by automated train, which adds a stage most visitors do not account for. A family with luggage takes meaningfully longer than a solo business traveller. We hold rather than running a clock against a walk nobody can speed up.

  • Automated trains
  • Extra stage
  • We hold

Heat, storms and early landings

We track the tail number, so an aircraft down early is met early. Summer afternoon storms delay arrivals here most days for months rather than occasionally, and we plan around that rather than treating each one as an exception. The vehicle is pre-cooled before arrival rather than on the way.

Orlando Sanford, and when it is the better airport

Orlando Sanford (SFB)

North-east of the city, small and quick to clear, with a fraction of MCO’s walk. For anyone staying in Lake Mary, Sanford or the northern suburbs it is comfortably better end to end. For a convention hotel on International Drive it is a long drive in the wrong direction and we will say so rather than let the fare decide.

  • Quick to clear
  • Northern suburbs
  • Poor for the resorts

Getting the destination right first

This is the market where the destination should choose the airport more than anywhere we work. Tell us where you are staying before the flights are booked and we will tell you which airport actually serves it, including when the answer costs you a slightly worse fare.

From the airports across Orlando

Door to kerb, ordinary conditions. Convention weeks change the International Drive figures substantially and we plan those rather than quoting through them.

Convention weeks change the whole southern corridor, and the figures below assume an ordinary week rather than a show week.

How Orlando airport transfers are priced

Every airport route is quoted per route and confirmed in writing before you travel, with no surge pricing at any hour.

Tell us the resort and the building when you book. On a property covering hundreds of acres, the right gate and the wrong building is still a long walk in August.
