The Minneapolis hotels we run to
Most downtown hotels connect to the skyway. In February that decides where the car waits more than the address does. Twin Cities hotels cluster in downtown Minneapolis, with the Bloomington properties serving anyone flying in and out quickly and a smaller set in St. Paul carrying the capitol business. Vehicle access is good across nearly all of them. The consideration is seasonal rather than structural: for half the year the sensible pickup is an interior entrance connected to the skyway, and we agree which one at booking.
These are the addresses people actually give a chauffeur in the Twin Cities. In a city joined together above street level, the useful knowledge is which door to wait at.
Where visiting executives stay. Downtown Minneapolis takes most of the corporate traffic, with the Bloomington cluster serving anyone flying in and out quickly and St. Paul the capitol business.
Four Seasons Minneapolis
Downtown
On Hennepin at the north end of downtown with a covered entrance and proper vehicle access, newer and built with arrivals in mind. Connected into the skyway system, which makes a January departure straightforward. Close to the Target Center, so event nights affect the surrounding blocks.
Hotel Ivy
Downtown
On 11th Street with a compact entrance at the base of the Ivy Tower, in a quieter part of downtown than the Nicollet blocks. Skyway access. Convenient for the convention centre, which is a short walk rather than a drive.
The Marquette
Downtown
Inside the IDS Center in the middle of the skyway network, which makes it about as connected as a hotel in this city gets. The vehicle entrance is on Marquette Avenue and the building itself is a landmark. Easy to find and easy to work.
W Minneapolis – The Foshay
Downtown
In the Foshay Tower on Marquette, a narrow art deco landmark with a correspondingly narrow frontage and limited kerb. Works well outside peak and benefits from an agreed point during it. Skyway connected like its neighbours.
Loews Minneapolis
Downtown
On 2nd Avenue with a proper porte-cochere and good access, close to the theatre district on Hennepin. Performance nights fill the surrounding streets. One of the more straightforward downtown arrivals.
Hewing Hotel
North Loop
In a converted warehouse in the North Loop, on older and narrower streets than the downtown core with limited stopping outside. The district fills in the evening with restaurant traffic. Not skyway connected, which matters in February.
Royal Sonesta Minneapolis
Downtown
On Nicollet Mall, which is restricted to buses and pedestrians for much of its length — the single most useful thing to know about this address. We work from the cross street rather than the mall itself and agree the point at booking.
The Saint Paul Hotel
Downtown St. Paul
On Rice Park facing the Ordway, a grand old house with a covered carriage entrance that still does its job. Downtown St. Paul is quieter and easier to drive than its neighbour. Performance nights at the Ordway fill the square.
JW Marriott Mall of America
Bloomington
Attached to the Mall of America in Bloomington, minutes from MSP and among the shortest airport transfers in the market. Substantial arrival capacity built for group traffic. A sensible base for anyone flying in and out quickly.
Hotel Landing Wayzata
Wayzata
On Lake Minnetonka west of the city, a boutique property in a village setting with easy access and parking. Well placed for the western corporate corridor and a genuine drive from the airport, which we quote as a transfer rather than a local run.
From the Minneapolis hotels to MSP
Door to kerb, clear roads. Bloomington is minutes from the airport; the western properties are genuine transfers.

How Minneapolis hotel transfers are priced
Hotel transfers are quoted per route and confirmed in writing before you travel, with no surge pricing at any hour. Hourly hire suits a day that begins and ends at the hotel with stops between, which given the spread between the two downtowns and the west is a common shape here.
In winter we start earlier from every one of these addresses and meet you inside. That is in the quoted pickup time rather than added as a weather surcharge on the morning.
