The Seattle fields
Boeing Field is minutes from downtown and Paine Field is up at Everett. For the Eastside, neither is obvious until you look at the bridges. Boeing Field carries most of the region’s private movement and sits closer to downtown than Sea-Tac does. Paine Field at Everett serves the north, Renton the south-east, and Sea-Tac takes private traffic on a busy commercial field. For an Eastside destination the calculation includes a bridge, which changes the answer more often than people expect. We work from the tail number and coordinate with the FBO directly.
Boeing Field (BFI)
Five miles south of downtown and the principal private field for the region, with several FBOs and a genuinely short run into the city — shorter than Sea-Tac by a useful margin. The FBO name is what a vehicle needs rather than the airport name, because the facilities sit at different points around the field.
Paine Field (PAE)
At Everett, well north of the city, and the right field for anyone whose business is in Everett or the northern corridor. It also handles some commercial traffic from a small, pleasant terminal. From Paine Field to Bellevue or Seattle is a genuine drive and we quote it as such.
Renton (RNT) and the Sea-Tac FBOs
Renton sits at the south end of Lake Washington and is the shortest hop to Bellevue and the southern Eastside — frequently the smartest choice for a day of Eastside meetings. Sea-Tac takes private movements on a very busy field with FBO facilities well away from the passenger terminal.
Seattle weather, crew and timing
Low cloud changes arrival times, not just visibility
The marine layer here delays arrivals on days when conditions at ground level look unremarkable, and the effect compounds through the afternoon. We track the actual movement rather than the filed time, because in the wetter months the two regularly disagree by an hour.
Crew movements and positioning
Crew transfers here recur — the same operators through Boeing Field, the same hotels, the same early positioning runs. Those work better as a standing arrangement with agreed pickup points and a named chauffeur than as individual bookings placed at short notice.
From the Seattle private fields
Door to FBO, ordinary conditions. The Renton-to-Bellevue figure is the one that surprises people, and it is the reason we mention the field.

How Seattle private aviation transfers are priced
FBO transfers are quoted per route and confirmed in writing before you travel, with no surge pricing at any hour. Waiting time is measured against the actual movement rather than a filed time, so a weather delay does not become a billing conversation.
Tell us the field and the FBO when you book and we will confirm coverage before you travel. If the day is Eastside business, ask about Renton before you file.
