How the Miami day is built
Brickell is the financial centre for a continent, not just a city. A great deal of our work here arrives from somewhere else entirely. Miami’s corporate work concentrates in Brickell and Coral Gables, and a large share of it is Latin American regional headquarters business — executives arriving for two or three days of meetings across the county. Those days rarely hold to a schedule and frequently cross a causeway. Hourly hire suits them; a chain of transfers does not. Spanish-speaking chauffeurs are available and worth asking for when the party prefers it.
Hourly hire and the causeway problem
A day that starts in Brickell and includes anything on the beach crosses a causeway twice, and the causeway is the whole journey when it backs up — there is no alternative routing. Hourly hire means the vehicle stages on the correct side rather than making the crossing twice more to collect you.
Brickell towers and where to stop
Brickell’s towers have defined pickup points, which helps, but Brickell Avenue itself is congested through most of the day and a side-street collection moves considerably better. Downtown adds the courts and the arena, the latter closing streets on event nights rather than merely slowing them.
Language, continuity and the same chauffeur
For visiting Latin American executives a Spanish-speaking chauffeur is frequently the difference between a comfortable day and a tiring one, and we assign one when asked. On a multi-day visit the same chauffeur stays with the party, learns the buildings and the preferences, and is reachable directly rather than through an app.
Miami accounts and billing
Consolidated billing
Accounts are invoiced monthly against cost centres, entities or individual travellers, whichever your finance team uses. Each line carries the route, the vehicle and the chauffeur. Multi-entity regional structures are common here and we set the coding up before the first booking.
Booked by assistants, for travellers
Most corporate work here is placed by an assistant rather than the passenger, frequently from another country and another time zone. Bookings go in by email or phone at any hour, confirmations name the chauffeur and the vehicle, and changes are made by replying.
Between the Miami business districts
These are the legs a Miami corporate day is made of. Anything involving the beach crosses water, and that crossing is the variable rather than the distance.
| Route | Approx. distance | Off-peak | Allow in peak |
|---|---|---|---|
| Brickell to downtown | 1 mile | 8–12 min | 15–30 min |
| Brickell to Coral Gables | 6 miles | 15–20 min | 30–45 min |
| Brickell to South Beach | 7 miles | 18–25 min | 40–60 min |
| Brickell to Aventura | 19 miles | 30–40 min | 55–80 min |
| Coral Gables to Coconut Grove | 4 miles | 12–18 min | 25–35 min |
| Brickell to Fort Lauderdale | 29 miles | 40–50 min | 70–95 min |
Notes on Miami districts
Brickell & Downtown. The financial district and the centre of gravity for corporate work in Miami, with a heavy concentration of banking, legal and Latin American regional headquarters.
Miami Beach & South Beach. South Beach’s street access is genuinely constrained, particularly around Ocean Drive and Collins, and hotel entrances vary enormously in how workable they are for a vehicle. We agree a specific pickup point rather than a hotel name.
Coral Gables & Coconut Grove. Coconut Grove adds hotel and residential work, and both are comfortable districts to operate in outside the school run.
Aventura, Sunny Isles & north Miami-Dade. A great deal of our work here is recurring — the same households and the same executives on a regular schedule — which is the kind of booking that rewards a consistent chauffeur.
Events, seasons and the Keys. Runs to Palm Beach, Naples and the Keys are quoted per trip and are frequently better booked hourly than point to point.
How Miami corporate work is priced
Miami is quoted per route and confirmed in writing before you travel, with no surge pricing at any hour — which matters more here than in most markets, because South Florida’s rideshare pricing during events and season does exactly the opposite. Hourly hire is available for multi-stop days, event work and long coastal runs. Rates are set per market, so a Miami quote reflects Miami.
Hourly hire is quoted at a market rate with a stated minimum and no surge at any hour. Point-to-point corporate transfers are quoted per route and confirmed in writing before you travel, with no surge pricing at any hour. Accounts are invoiced monthly with line-level detail.
For a day that crosses a causeway more than once, hourly hire is almost always cheaper than the equivalent transfers and very much more likely to keep its schedule.
