The New Orleans campuses we run to
New Orleans academic work centres on Tulane and Loyola, which share a stretch of St. Charles Avenue uptown, with the medical institutions clustered at the edge of the CBD. Ochsner, the largest system here, is in Jefferson Parish rather than the city — a real drive that surprises people who booked on the name. We confirm the institution and the entrance before the day.
Universities and medical campuses. Tulane and LSU Health bring steady academic and medical travel, with the university hospitals clustered at the edge of the CBD.
Tulane University
Uptown
On St. Charles Avenue uptown with the streetcar running along the neutral ground in front of it, which limits turning and stopping on the avenue itself. The campus entrances are on the side streets. We approach from the correct direction, which on St. Charles is planned rather than improvised.
Loyola University New Orleans
Uptown
Immediately beside Tulane on the same stretch of St. Charles, sharing the same streetcar constraint and the same approach. The two are easily confused when a booking is made and the entrances are distinct, so we confirm which.
Xavier University of Louisiana
Mid-City
In Mid-City near the Pontchartrain Expressway, a historically Black Catholic university with a compact campus and straightforward vehicle access. Easier to work than the St. Charles campuses and a short run to the CBD.
University of New Orleans
Lakefront
On the lakefront next to Lakefront Airport, a large open campus with its own roads and plenty of parking. Genuinely easy to work. Its position makes it minutes from a private arrival at Lakefront and a moderate run from the CBD.
LSU Health Sciences Center
CBD edge
At the edge of the CBD in the medical corridor, teaching and research across several buildings sharing approaches with the hospitals around them. The building genuinely matters here and visiting faculty come through constantly.
Ochsner Medical Center
Jefferson
In Jefferson Parish on Jefferson Highway rather than in New Orleans, which is a real drive from the Quarter and catches out people who booked on the name. A very large campus with its own parking structures and clear signage once you arrive.
University Medical Center New Orleans
Mid-City
In the medical district on the CBD edge, the region’s teaching hospital and trauma centre with emergency traffic on the approaches at any hour. Separate entrances for different services, and we confirm which the appointment needs rather than using the main one.
Children’s Hospital New Orleans
Uptown
Uptown near the river with a dedicated family entrance and a steady flow of families travelling with children and equipment from across Louisiana and the Gulf Coast. The vehicle matters as much as the route and we ask about seating at booking.
To the New Orleans campuses
Door to campus, ordinary conditions. The Ochsner figure is the one worth reading twice, because it is in a different parish from the hotel you are leaving.

How New Orleans campus and medical transfers are priced
Campus and medical transfers are quoted per route and confirmed in writing before you travel, with no surge pricing at any hour. Recurring academic and treatment schedules are set up as a standing arrangement at an agreed rate with a named chauffeur.
If you are booking to Ochsner, note that it is in Jefferson Parish rather than New Orleans proper. We quote it as the genuine journey it is rather than as a city run with a surprise at the end.
