Ohio State and its medical centre share approaches. A game day and a clinic appointment are a poor combination. Ohio State dominates academic travel here, with a very large campus immediately north-west of downtown and a medical centre on the same site sharing the same approach roads. Nationwide Children’s sits south of downtown with its own access. The smaller colleges around the region are straightforward. We confirm the building and the entrance before the day, and we check the football calendar when quoting anything on campus.

The Ohio State University
University District
One of the largest campuses in the country, immediately north-west of downtown with its own road network and a street address that will put a vehicle a long way from most buildings. Home football Saturdays close roads across the whole area.
Capital University
Bexley
In Bexley east of downtown, a small campus on residential streets with straightforward access and proper parking. Quiet and simple to work, and close enough to downtown to be an easy stop on a wider day.
Otterbein University
Westerville
In Westerville north-east of the city, a contained campus in a small town setting with clear access and parking. A moderate run from the airport and from downtown, and quoted as a transfer rather than a local hop.
Denison University
Granville
In Granville, well east of Columbus on a hill above the village, which makes it a genuine drive rather than a local run. Commencement and parents weekends fill the village entirely. We quote it as the distance it is.

Downtown
A community college with its main campus just east of downtown and other sites around the region. The downtown campus has city-street access and is simple to reach. Confirming which site is the useful step when there is more than one.
OSU Wexner Medical Center
University District
On the Ohio State campus, sharing its approach roads and its game-day closures, with separate entrances for different services. A clinic appointment on a home Saturday is genuinely difficult and worth rescheduling if it can be. We flag that at booking.
Nationwide Children’s Hospital
South of downtown
South of downtown on its own large campus, away from the university traffic entirely, with a dedicated family entrance and proper drop-off. Families travelling with children and equipment are much of this work and we ask about seating at booking.
Mount Carmel Health
Across the region
A network of hospitals around the region rather than a single site, so the name alone can place a vehicle a long way from the right door. Confirming the specific facility is the useful step at booking here.
