The Columbus hotels we run to
High Street through the Short North is congested and hard to stop on. Almost everywhere else here is easy. Columbus hotels cluster downtown and through the Short North, with Easton and the Dublin properties serving the office parks north of the city. Access is good at nearly all of them. The exception is High Street through the Short North, which is busy and difficult to stop on through the evening — there we work from the side streets, which are a few steps away and considerably calmer.
These are the addresses people actually give a chauffeur in Columbus. It is one of the more straightforward markets we work, with winter as the main variable.
Where visiting executives stay. Downtown and the Short North take the convention and corporate traffic, with the Easton and Dublin properties serving the office parks north of the city.
Le Méridien Columbus, The Joseph
Short North
In the Short North on High Street, with an entrance that works but sits on the busiest stretch in the city for a stopped vehicle. The side street a few steps away is the practical answer through the evening, and we agree it at booking.
Hotel LeVeque
Downtown
In the LeVeque Tower on Broad Street downtown, a landmark building with a compact entrance on a street that carries steady through traffic. Works well outside peak. Central for the downtown business district and a short run to the airport.
The Blackwell
Ohio State campus
On the Ohio State campus as part of the business school, which makes it the obvious choice for anyone visiting the university and a genuinely different proposition on a home football Saturday. Campus access applies. We confirm the approach on game weekends.
Hilton Columbus Downtown
Downtown
Attached to the convention centre with substantial arrival capacity built for group business. During a large show it is the centre of everything. Straightforward vehicle access and well placed for the Arena District.
The Junto
Scioto Peninsula
On the Scioto Peninsula across the river from downtown, newer with purpose-built vehicle access and river views. Away from the High Street congestion entirely, which makes it one of the easier properties here to work in the evening.
Canopy by Hilton Columbus
Short North
In the Short North with a compact entrance on a busy stretch, similar in character to its neighbours. Good access in the morning and worth an agreed point at dinner time when the district fills.
Hotel Indigo Columbus
Downtown
Downtown near the convention centre with straightforward street-level access and no complexity. A practical property to work, and close enough to the Arena District that event nights affect the surrounding blocks.
The Easton hotels
Easton
Several properties around Easton Town Center north-east of the city, with proper forecourts, plenty of parking and none of the downtown difficulty. Closer to the airport than downtown is, which makes them a sensible base for a short trip.
From the Columbus hotels to the airport
Door to kerb, ordinary conditions in dry weather. Easton is genuinely closer to the airport than downtown, which surprises people.

How Columbus hotel transfers are priced
Hotel transfers are quoted per route and confirmed in writing before you travel, with no surge pricing at any hour. Hourly hire suits a day that begins and ends at the hotel with several stops between, which given the spread between downtown and the northern campuses is a common shape here.
In winter we start earlier from every one of these addresses. That is in the quoted pickup time rather than added as a surcharge on the morning.
