The Columbus venues we run to

Ohio Stadium on a home Saturday moves more than a hundred thousand people. It reshapes the entire north side of the city. Columbus event work is dominated by Ohio State football, which for seven or eight Saturdays a year is the largest thing happening in the state. The downtown venues cluster in the Arena District with proper parking and good access, which makes them easy by comparison. We stage clear of venues, come forward on a call and treat game days as planned operations rather than ordinary bookings.

Conventions, arenas and venues. The downtown venues cluster in the Arena District, and university game days are the largest movement the city sees.

Culture, dining and the region. Evening work runs to the Short North and German Village, and the surrounding cities are all within comfortable reach.

Greater Columbus Convention Center

Downtown

Downtown next to the Arena District and the Short North, with hotels attached and its own parking. Well organised and easy to work by convention-centre standards. Large shows push traffic up High Street, which is the one thing to plan around.

  • Downtown
  • Attached hotels
  • High Street effect

Nationwide Arena

Arena District

In the Arena District with garages on several sides and a district built around it, which means the crowd disperses into restaurants and bars rather than all leaving at once. That genuinely helps. We collect from an agreed point on the district edge.

  • Arena District
  • Crowd disperses
  • District-edge collection

Ohio Stadium

Ohio State campus

On the university campus, and a home football Saturday is a movement on a scale nothing else in the region approaches. Roads close, the campus fills and the surrounding neighbourhoods are permit-controlled. We stage well out and plan game days in advance rather than on the morning.

  • Over 100,000 people
  • Road closures
  • Planned in advance

Lower.com Field

Astor Park

North-west of downtown with its own parking and reasonable access, newer and designed with vehicle movement in mind. Match nights are busy but orderly. Easier than any of the older venues here.

  • Own parking
  • Designed access
  • Busy but orderly

Ohio Theatre

Downtown

On State Street downtown, a restored house with a narrow frontage and no forecourt, letting out into a downtown evening that is otherwise quiet. We work from the side street a few steps away, which here is genuinely straightforward.

  • State Street
  • No forecourt
  • Quiet downtown evenings

Palace Theatre

Downtown

On Broad Street, part of the same performing arts organisation as the Ohio Theatre and occasionally finishing at the same time, which puts two audiences onto downtown streets together. We check the calendar rather than assuming one venue at a time.

  • Broad Street
  • Shares an organisation
  • Check for clashes

COSI

Scioto Peninsula

On the Scioto Peninsula across the river, a science centre that also hosts evening corporate events, with its own large car park and simple access. Straightforward for an evening reception, which is not true of most museum venues.

  • Scioto Peninsula
  • Own car park
  • Easy for receptions

Columbus Zoo

Powell

North of the city at Powell, a genuine drive rather than a local run, with substantial parking and a single main entrance road that queues at opening and closing. Family traffic with equipment is common and affects the vehicle more than the route.

  • North at Powell
  • Real distance
  • Opening and closing queues

Getting to the Columbus venues

Door to venue, ordinary conditions. The right-hand column means an event night; an Ohio State home Saturday is planned separately because a range would be misleading.

How Columbus event work is priced

Event transfers are quoted per route, and event evenings are usually better booked hourly. All of it is quoted per route and confirmed in writing before you travel, with no surge pricing at any hour, including home game Saturdays.

For a football weekend, book early and tell us where you need to be and when. Those Saturdays commit most of the vehicles in the city and the road closures make timing a planning question rather than an estimate.
