Columbus arrivals

The airport is six miles from downtown and Easton is closer still. This is one of the simplest markets we work — until winter. John Glenn Columbus International is compact, close to the city and genuinely quick from gate to kerb. Almost nothing about the geography here is difficult. What we plan for instead is the weather: from November, snow and ice add time to every stage of a journey at once, and we build real allowance into airport bookings rather than quoting the summer number and apologising in January.

One compact terminal

John Glenn runs from a single terminal with three small concourses and one of the shortest gate-to-kerb walks of any airport we work. A kerb collection genuinely works here. We meet inside with your name by default and check the arrival against the flight number.

  • Single terminal
  • Short walk
  • Kerb genuinely works

Delays and early landings

We track the tail number rather than the schedule, so an aircraft down early is met early. Winter weather here causes upstream cancellations more often than local diversions, and a flight that vanishes from the board is something we pick up before you have to call about it.

Winter in Columbus, and how we plan around it

Snow adds time everywhere at once

Columbus clears its roads well and the vehicles are equipped for the season, so the driving itself is rarely the issue. The problem is that de-icing, surface streets and airport roadways all slow together. From November we build a genuine allowance into every airport booking and explain why it is there.

  • Equipped vehicles
  • Everything slows together
  • Allowance explained

Easton is unusually close

Easton Town Center sits closer to the airport than downtown does, which makes it among the shortest reliable transfers in the market and a sensible base for anyone flying in and out quickly. Worth knowing before the hotel is booked rather than afterwards.

  • Closer than downtown
  • Short reliable transfer
  • Consider at booking

From the Columbus airport across the city

Door to kerb, ordinary conditions in dry weather. A snow event is planned separately rather than absorbed by a margin.

The airport sits just east of downtown, the outerbelt carries the through traffic efficiently, and genuine gridlock is rare.

How Columbus airport transfers are priced

Every airport route is quoted per route and confirmed in writing before you travel, with no surge pricing at any hour. Cleveland, Cincinnati, Indianapolis and Pittsburgh are all covered as long-distance runs and quoted per trip.

From November we start earlier from every address, and that is built into the quoted pickup time rather than added as a weather surcharge on the morning.
