How the Houston day is built
The energy business runs between downtown, the Energy Corridor and the Woodlands. That is fifty miles of city on a good day. Houston corporate work is shaped by the energy sector and by the sheer size of the metropolitan area. A day that touches downtown, the Energy Corridor and The Woodlands covers real distance, and a released vehicle is a long way away when a meeting ends early or late. Hourly hire suits it. Delegations and international visitors are a large part of this work and frequently need several vehicles moving together.
The distances are the whole problem
Downtown to the Energy Corridor is a genuine journey, and The Woodlands is further again. A day that touches two of those is not two transfers with a gap, it is a vehicle that needs to be with you. Hourly hire means the car stages nearby rather than driving twenty miles back and twenty miles out again.
Delegations and multi-vehicle movements
International delegations are routine here, particularly around the energy conferences, and moving six or twelve people is a different exercise from moving one. We plan those as a single operation with one point of contact, staged departures and an agreed order rather than a set of independent bookings that arrive in whatever sequence traffic decides.
The same chauffeur across the visit
On a multi-day visit the chauffeur learns the party, the buildings and which tower entrance works at the Galleria in the afternoon. We assign a named chauffeur for the duration and give you a direct line to dispatch rather than an app that cannot answer a question about a gate.
Houston accounts and billing
Consolidated billing
Accounts are invoiced monthly against cost centres, project codes or individual travellers, whichever your finance team uses. Each line carries the route, the vehicle and the chauffeur. Project-based coding is common in this market and we set it up before the first booking.
Booked by assistants and coordinators
Most of this work is placed by an assistant or a travel coordinator rather than the passenger, frequently for several travellers at once. Bookings go in by email or phone, confirmations name the chauffeur and vehicle, and changes are made by replying rather than re-entering a form.
Between the Houston business districts
These are the legs a Houston corporate day is made of, and they are longer than most markets. The distances rather than the congestion are what make hourly hire sensible.

Notes on Houston districts
Downtown & Midtown. Houston’s downtown has an extensive tunnel system connecting the towers, which means the building you are collected from is frequently not the one your meeting was in.
Uptown & the Galleria. For visiting executives this is where most Houston stays actually happen.
The Energy Corridor & Westchase. The corridor sits far enough west that an airport run needs genuine allowance, and morning traffic inbound on I-10 is among the heaviest in Texas. We schedule these against the peak rather than through it.
Texas Medical Center. We confirm the building and the entrance at booking, and hourly hire often suits a day here better than separate transfers.
The Woodlands, Sugar Land & the suburbs. Long-distance runs to Galveston, Austin or San Antonio are quoted per trip.
How Houston corporate work is priced
Houston is quoted per route and confirmed in writing before you travel. Hourly hire is available for multi-stop days, roadshows and Medical Center visits. Rates are set per market, so a Houston quote reflects Houston.
Hourly hire is quoted at a market rate with a stated minimum and no surge at any hour. Point-to-point corporate transfers are quoted per route and confirmed in writing before you travel, with no surge pricing at any hour. Accounts are invoiced monthly with line-level detail.
For a day that reaches the Energy Corridor or The Woodlands, hourly hire is almost always cheaper than the equivalent transfers once the empty running is counted. We will say which way it falls for your day.
