The Houston fields

Hobby carries a great deal of the corporate jet traffic here, and Sugar Land and Conroe put you closer to the suburbs than any commercial field does. Houston private movement spreads across Hobby, Bush Intercontinental, Ellington, Sugar Land and Conroe-North Houston. Hobby handles a large share of the corporate traffic and sits usefully close to downtown and the Medical Center; Conroe serves The Woodlands and the north; Sugar Land the south-west. We work from the tail number and coordinate with the FBO directly rather than a published time.

Hobby (HOU) private terminals

The principal corporate jet field for Houston, with substantial FBO facilities well away from the commercial terminals. Its position south-east of downtown makes it the sensible choice for the city centre and the Medical Center, and it is the one we recommend most often for business inside the loop.

  • Principal corporate field
  • Close to downtown
  • Separate FBO access

Sugar Land (SGR) and Conroe (CXO)

Sugar Land serves the south-west suburbs and Conroe-North Houston serves The Woodlands and the northern corridor. For anyone whose week is spent in either of those, the right field saves a genuinely long drive — The Woodlands from Hobby is the better part of an hour in good conditions.

  • South-west suburbs
  • The Woodlands
  • Saves real distance

Bush Intercontinental and Ellington

Bush takes private movements alongside a very heavy commercial operation and is the field for international private arrivals. Ellington, south-east of the city, serves a mix of traffic and sits near NASA and the Bay Area. Both have FBO addresses that bear no relation to the terminal address.

  • International private
  • Ellington
  • Not the terminal address

Houston heat, delegations and crew

Summer heat is an operational detail

For four months of the year the walk from an aircraft to a vehicle is genuinely unpleasant, and a car that has been standing in the sun is worse. We pre-cool before arrival rather than on the way, keep water in the vehicle and position as close to the aircraft as the FBO permits.

  • Pre-cooled vehicles
  • Water carried
  • Closest permitted position

Delegations and crew as a programme

A great deal of private movement here brings groups rather than individuals, and multi-vehicle arrivals need an agreed order and a single point of contact on the ramp. Crew transfers recur and are set up as standing arrangements with agreed pickup points and a named chauffeur.

  • Multi-vehicle arrivals
  • Agreed order
  • Standing crew arrangements

From the Houston private fields

Door to FBO, ordinary conditions. The Conroe and Sugar Land figures are the argument for choosing the field by destination rather than by habit.

How Houston private aviation transfers are priced

FBO transfers are quoted per route and confirmed in writing before you travel, with no surge pricing at any hour. Waiting time is measured against the actual movement rather than a filed time, so an early landing or a slipped departure does not become a billing conversation.

Tell us the field and the FBO when you book and we will confirm coverage before you travel. For a delegation arriving on one aircraft, tell us the headcount and the luggage and we will plan the vehicles rather than guessing.
