The Boston campuses we run to
Longwood packs several major hospitals into a few blocks with genuinely difficult access. There is nowhere else in the country quite like it. Boston’s academic and medical density is unmatched, and this is the largest single source of recurring work we have here — visiting faculty, fellows, candidates, trustees and patients travelling on a schedule. Harvard and MIT commencement weeks reshape Cambridge entirely, and Longwood is constrained every day of the year. We confirm the institution, the building and the entrance before the day.
Universities and medical campuses. Boston’s academic and medical density is unmatched, and this is the largest single source of recurring work here. Longwood in particular is a cluster of major institutions sharing very constrained access.
Harvard University
Cambridge
Spread through Cambridge around Harvard Square with buildings on both sides of the river and a business school campus in Allston that is a separate journey. The university name is not an address here. Commencement week fills Cambridge completely and is worth naming at booking.
MIT
Cambridge
Along Massachusetts Avenue and through Kendall Square, with building numbers rather than names and a campus that is genuinely confusing on a first visit. The building number is the only useful instruction and we ask for it. Kendall construction changes the approach regularly.
Boston University
Kenmore
Strung along Commonwealth Avenue for well over a mile, which makes “Boston University” close to useless as a destination. The address matters more here than at any other campus in the city. Adjacent to Fenway, so game nights affect the eastern end badly.
Northeastern University
Fenway
On Huntington Avenue between Back Bay and Longwood, compact by comparison and reasonably straightforward to reach. Its position between the two districts makes it a convenient stop on a day that touches both. Green Line traffic on Huntington is the constraint.
Tufts University
Medford & Chinatown
The main campus is in Medford and Somerville north of the city, while the medical and dental schools sit in Chinatown downtown. Two completely different journeys under one name, and confirming which is the most useful thing at booking.
Boston College
Chestnut Hill
In Chestnut Hill west of the city, a handsome hilltop campus with its own approach roads and reasonable access. A longer run from Logan than the central campuses. Home football weekends fill the western approaches.
Berklee College of Music
Back Bay
On Massachusetts Avenue in Back Bay, city buildings rather than a campus, on one of the busiest streets in Boston. Instrument transport is a genuine consideration here and determines the vehicle rather than the route, so it is worth mentioning at booking.
Wellesley College
Wellesley
West of the city in Wellesley, a large wooded campus with straightforward vehicle access and proper parking. A comfortable place to work. The run from Logan crosses the whole metropolitan area and is quoted as a transfer rather than a local hop.
Brandeis University
Waltham
In Waltham on the 128 corridor, which makes it unusually convenient for anyone arriving through Hanscom rather than Logan. Contained campus with clear access. Close to the corporate corridor, so a combined academic and business day works well from here.
Massachusetts General Hospital
West End
At the foot of Beacon Hill in the West End, a large campus with several entrances for different services and constant traffic on the approach roads. Cambridge Street is the constraint. We confirm which entrance the appointment needs rather than using the main one by default.
Brigham and Women’s
Longwood
In the middle of the Longwood cluster on Francis Street, where several major institutions share very limited road space and queue together at shift change. Treatment days are better booked hourly: the return time is rarely knowable and recalling a vehicle into Longwood is slow.
Dana-Farber
Longwood
On Brookline Avenue within the Longwood cluster, with patients travelling from across the country and frequently on multi-day treatment schedules. Those recur, so we set them up as a standing arrangement with the same chauffeur where we can, which matters to people having a hard week.
Boston Children’s Hospital
Longwood
Also in Longwood, with a dedicated family drop-off and a constant flow of families travelling with children and equipment. The vehicle matters as much as the route here, and we ask about seating and equipment at booking rather than discovering it at the kerb.
To the Boston campuses
Door to campus, ordinary conditions. Commencement and move-in weeks are not ordinary conditions and we plan those separately rather than adding a margin.
| Route | Approx. distance | Off-peak | Allow in peak |
|---|---|---|---|
| Logan to Harvard | 8 miles | 22–32 min | 45–65 min |
| Logan to MIT (Kendall) | 6 miles | 20–30 min | 40–55 min |
| Back Bay to Longwood Medical | 3 miles | 12–18 min | 30–45 min |
| Financial District to Boston College | 9 miles | 25–35 min | 45–70 min |
| Logan to Wellesley | 22 miles | 35–45 min | 60–90 min |
How Boston campus transfers are priced
Campus transfers are quoted per route and confirmed in writing before you travel, with no surge pricing at any hour. Recurring academic and medical bookings are set up as a standing arrangement with a named chauffeur wherever the schedule allows.
Longwood days are better booked hourly. Parking there is scarce enough and the return time uncertain enough that holding a vehicle is both cheaper and very much less stressful than trying to recall one.
