Boston arrivals
Logan is four miles from downtown and on the far side of a harbour. The tunnel is the trip, and when it backs up nothing rescues it. Logan sits on a peninsula in the harbour, closer to the centre than almost any major airport is to its city, and connected to it by tunnel. The distances look trivial and they are — right up until the Sumner or the Ted Williams fills. We confirm the terminal against the flight number on the day, meet inside arrivals by default, and hold through customs at Terminal E rather than starting a clock against a queue we can see.
Four terminals, four separate pickups
Each terminal has its own arrivals curb and limo stand, so there is no quick correction if a vehicle is sent to the wrong one. Airlines move between terminals more often than people expect. We check the terminal against the flight number on the day rather than trusting what the booking said a month ago.
Terminal E and the customs hold
Most international arrivals clear at Terminal E, where the queue is invisible from outside and varies by an hour depending on the arrival bank. We hold through customs rather than running a clock against something you cannot control. Your chauffeur waits inside with your name rather than circling the roadway.
The arrivals kerb
Logan’s arrivals level is tight and actively managed, and standing with luggage waiting for a car to appear is not a good use of the time. Meeting inside is our default. If you would rather be collected at the kerb we will do it, and we will tell you honestly which terminals make that a poor idea.
Boston departures and the tunnels
Which tunnel, and when
Everything from the city side crosses the harbour, through the Callahan or the Ted Williams, and the two back up independently of each other. Which one works depends on where you are starting and what hour it is. Your chauffeur makes that call on the day with current conditions rather than following a fixed route.
Why we quote the honest number
A Seaport departure is genuinely ten minutes and a Back Bay one in the evening peak is genuinely forty. Quoting the optimistic figure for both would make the pickup time useless. We build the allowance in and tell you why it is there, which matters more in this city than in most.
From the Boston districts to Logan
Door to kerb, ordinary conditions. The Seaport is the shortest airport run we quote anywhere; Back Bay at five o’clock is a different proposition entirely.
Everything from the city side crosses the harbour, and that crossing is the journey. These figures assume the tunnels are behaving; when they are not, no routing rescues it, which is why we build allowance in rather than quoting the optimistic case.

How Boston airport transfers are priced
Every Logan route is quoted per route and confirmed in writing before you travel, with no surge pricing at any hour.
Providence and Manchester are covered as long transfers when the flight is better from there. We will say plainly when the cheaper fare costs more in ground time than it saves.
