The New York fields
Teterboro is the region’s private field of record, but it is one of five that matter, and the right one depends entirely on where you are going afterwards. New York carries the heaviest concentration of private movements in the country, spread across Teterboro in New Jersey, Westchester County to the north, Republic on Long Island, Morristown further into New Jersey and the Manhattan heliports. Which field suits you is a question of your destination rather than your aircraft, and getting it wrong can add an hour on the ground. We work from the tail number, coordinate with the FBO directly, and meet on the ramp where the operator allows it.
Teterboro (TEB)
Twelve miles from Midtown in New Jersey and the default for anyone heading into Manhattan. Several FBOs operate on the field and they are genuinely far apart, so the FBO name matters more than the airport name when a vehicle is dispatched. The run into the city crosses the Hudson through the Lincoln Tunnel or over the George Washington Bridge, and which of those works depends on the hour.
Westchester County (HPN)
North of the city and the sensible field for anyone working in Westchester, Fairfield County or lower Connecticut. From HPN into Manhattan is a genuine drive; from HPN to Greenwich or Stamford it is a short one. For a meeting in the corporate corridor rather than the city, arriving here instead of Teterboro can save the better part of an hour each way.
Republic (FRG) and Morristown (MMU)
Republic on Long Island serves Nassau, Suffolk and the Hamptons traffic and is the right arrival point for anyone heading east rather than west. Morristown sits further into New Jersey and serves the pharmaceutical and corporate presence there. Both are poor choices for a Manhattan meeting and excellent ones for their own regions, and we will say which applies before you file.
The Manhattan heliports
The downtown and East Side heliports put you in the city in minutes rather than an hour, and a car meeting a helicopter is a tightly timed piece of work with very little room to absorb a delay at either end. We stage in advance for heliport movements rather than dispatching to them, and coordinate directly with the operator on the day.
How we work with your operator in New York
Tail number, not a schedule
Private movements change. We work from the tail number and the operator’s own information rather than a published time, so an aircraft that lands early is met early and a departure that slips does not leave a vehicle idling on a clock. Where the FBO permits ramp access we meet at the aircraft; where it does not we meet inside the FBO lounge.
Crew as well as principals
Crew movements are a standing part of this work and are booked on the same terms as principal transport — hotel transfers at the end of a duty day, positioning runs, and early departures timed against a report time rather than a wheels-up. Tell us the operator and the FBO when you book and we will confirm coverage before you travel.
From the New York private fields
Door to FBO, ordinary conditions. The differences here are the whole argument for choosing the field by destination rather than by habit.

How New York private aviation transfers are priced
FBO transfers are quoted per route and confirmed in writing before you travel. Waiting time is measured against the actual movement rather than a filed time, so an early landing or a slipped departure does not become a billing conversation.
Standing arrangements for recurring movements — the same aircraft, the same route, the same crew — are quoted as a programme rather than as individual journeys, and are handled by a named chauffeur wherever the schedule allows it.
