How the New York day is built
A New York day with five meetings is not five transfers. It is one vehicle, one chauffeur and a plan that survives the third meeting running long. Most of our New York corporate work is hourly rather than point to point, because a Manhattan schedule almost never holds. Between Midtown and the Financial District a vehicle released after each stop has to be found again in traffic that makes finding it expensive; a vehicle held nearby is waiting when the meeting overruns. We staff roadshows with the same chauffeur across the whole visit, which is worth more in this city than the vehicle is.
Hourly hire, not a string of transfers
A Midtown to downtown leg is twenty minutes or fifty depending on the hour, and no schedule survives that spread. Hourly hire means the vehicle stages nearby rather than leaving, so an overrunning meeting costs you the overrun and nothing else. We plan the day around the appointments you actually have and build in the slack the map does not show.
Congestion pricing, honestly accounted for
Manhattan below 60th Street carries a congestion charge, and it is a real line in the cost of a day spent in Midtown and downtown. We disclose it up front rather than adding it to an invoice afterwards, and where a day’s routing can sensibly reduce the number of chargeable entries we will say so when we plan it. What we will not do is quote a flattering number and reconcile later.
The same chauffeur across the visit
On a multi-day roadshow the chauffeur learns the party, the luggage, the preferred entrances and which principal needs the quiet car. That is not a luxury in New York, it is the difference between a day that works and one spent explaining. We assign a named chauffeur for the duration and give you a direct line to dispatch rather than an app.
New York accounts and billing
Consolidated billing
Corporate accounts are invoiced monthly against cost centres, project codes or individual travellers, whichever your finance team actually uses. Each journey line carries the route, the vehicle, the chauffeur and the disclosed extras, so an invoice can be reconciled without a phone call. We set the account up before the first booking rather than after the first dispute.
Booking on behalf of others
Executive assistants book the majority of our corporate work, and the process is built for them rather than for the passenger. Bookings can be placed by email or phone with a confirmation that includes the chauffeur’s name and vehicle, changes are made by replying rather than re-entering a form, and the traveller is contacted directly only when you ask us to.
Between the New York business districts
These are the legs a New York corporate day is actually made of. The spread between the two columns is why we recommend hourly hire here more often than anywhere else.

Notes on New York districts
Midtown. Midtown’s problem is not distance but access: cross-town movement is slow at almost any hour, and a pickup on the wrong side of the avenue can add fifteen minutes before the trip properly starts.
Financial District & Hudson Yards. The Financial District rewards an early start and punishes an evening one. Hudson Yards, being newer, has better vehicle access than anywhere comparable in Manhattan, which makes it one of the more reliable pickup points in the city.
Congestion pricing. We disclose it as a line on the quote rather than folding it into the fare or adding it afterwards, and where a routing can reasonably avoid the zone without costing you time we will say so. It is a genuine cost of working in New York and we would rather it be visible than buried.
Brooklyn, Queens & the outer boroughs. We cover the boroughs on the same terms as Manhattan, and for anyone staying in Brooklyn the airport timing genuinely works in your favour for once.
Westchester, Connecticut & the corporate corridor. Long-distance runs up the corridor are quoted per trip. This is also where an hourly booking often makes more sense than a series of transfers, because the day rarely holds to its schedule.
How New York corporate work is priced
New York is quoted per route and confirmed in writing before you travel. Hourly hire is available for multi-stop days, roadshows and evening work, and in Manhattan it is frequently the better value once a day involves more than two stops. Rates are set per market, so a New York quote reflects New York.
Hourly hire is quoted at a market rate with a stated minimum and no surge at any hour. Point-to-point corporate transfers are quoted per route. Quoted per route and confirmed in writing before you travel, with no surge pricing at any hour. Accounts are invoiced monthly with line-level detail against whatever coding your finance team uses.
For a day with three or more stops in Manhattan, hourly hire is almost always both cheaper and more reliable than the equivalent transfers. We will tell you which way round it falls for your particular day rather than defaulting to the larger number.
