Jacksonville’s event calendar has two poles: the downtown riverfront venues, which sit together with proper parking and good access, and the golf at TPC Sawgrass, which for one week a year is the largest thing happening in the region. We stage clear of venues, come forward on a call and plan tournament week as an operation rather than a set of bookings.
Conventions, arenas and venues. The stadium and arena sit together downtown by the river, and tournament week at Sawgrass is the largest annual movement in the region.
Culture, dining and the region. Coastal and historic work rounds out the market, with St Augustine and Amelia both close enough for a half-day.
EverBank Stadium
Downtown riverfront
On the river at the eastern edge of downtown with very large surface lots around it, which genuinely helps — there are workable staging positions a short walk from the gates. The constraint is the volume leaving onto the bridges and the interstate at once.
VyStar Veterans Memorial Arena
Downtown riverfront
Adjacent to the stadium on the same riverfront site, sharing parking and approaches. Two events on the same evening is the combination worth checking. Otherwise a manageable departure with proper road access.
Daily’s Place
Downtown riverfront
An amphitheatre built into the stadium complex, so concert nights share the same lots and roads as everything else on that site. Smaller crowds than the stadium and correspondingly easier. We collect from an agreed lot rather than the entrance.
Prime Osborn Convention Center
Downtown
In a converted railway terminal on the western side of downtown, with its own parking and straightforward access. Quieter than the riverfront complex and simple to work. We confirm the hall for larger shows.
TPC Sawgrass
Ponte Vedra
Host of THE PLAYERS, which fills every coastal hotel and changes the road pattern around Ponte Vedra for a week. Access moves to managed points and shuttle systems during the tournament. We plan that week in advance and work from the designated points.
Florida Theatre
Downtown
A restored house on Forsyth Street downtown, with a narrow frontage and no forecourt, letting out into a downtown evening that is generally quiet. Easier than the equivalent venues in larger cities. We work from the side street a few steps away.
Jacksonville Zoo
North Jacksonville
North of downtown near the river, with its own large car park and a single approach road that queues at opening and closing rather than throughout. Evening corporate events here are common and have their own arrival arrangements.
