The Jacksonville hotels we run to
The coastal resorts are a genuine drive from the airport and from downtown. That is the whole planning consideration here. Accommodation here divides between the riverfront hotels downtown, which serve the business district, and the coastal resorts at Ponte Vedra and Amelia Island, which carry the golf, conference and leisure trade. Vehicle access at all of them is good — these are spacious properties with proper drives. What matters is distance, and we quote the coastal runs as the real transfers they are.
These are the addresses people actually give a chauffeur in Jacksonville. The city covers more land than almost any in the country, so the suburb matters more than the street.
Where visiting executives stay. The riverfront properties take the downtown business, while the coastal resorts serve the golf, conference and leisure trade.
The Ritz-Carlton Amelia Island
Amelia Island
On the beach at Amelia Island, a large property with a long entrance drive and a substantial arrival court. Well north-east of the airport and a genuine transfer rather than a local run. Minutes from Fernandina Beach airport if you are flying privately.
Ponte Vedra Inn & Club
Ponte Vedra
On the ocean at Ponte Vedra, a club property spread across extensive grounds with several buildings, so the building or wing matters. Well south-east of the airport. Tournament week at Sawgrass nearby changes access across the whole area.
The Lodge & Club
Ponte Vedra
The Ponte Vedra Inn’s sister property a short distance along the beach, smaller and more intimate with a compact arrival court. Frequently confused with the Inn when a booking is made, which is exactly why we confirm which of the two.
Sawgrass Marriott
Ponte Vedra
Beside TPC Sawgrass with substantial arrival capacity built for the golf and conference trade. During THE PLAYERS it sits at the centre of everything and access moves to managed points. Outside tournament week it is straightforward.
Omni Amelia Island Resort
Amelia Island
A very large resort on Amelia with golf, several accommodation areas and a long internal road network. The building genuinely matters here because the grounds are extensive. A long transfer from JAX and a short one from Fernandina.
Hyatt Regency Jacksonville Riverfront
Downtown
On the river downtown with substantial arrival capacity and good access, attached to the convention business. The most practical base for anyone whose work is actually in the city rather than on the coast, and a much shorter airport run.
Casa Marina Hotel
Jacksonville Beach
A small historic house at Jacksonville Beach, right on the ocean with a compact entrance and limited space outside. Charming and tight. Closer to Craig airport than to JAX, and an easy run to the Southside offices.
One Ocean Resort
Atlantic Beach
At Atlantic Beach on the ocean with a proper arrival court and straightforward access from the coastal road. Quieter than the Ponte Vedra resorts and closer to the Southside, which makes it a sensible base for a mixed business and leisure trip.
From the Jacksonville hotels to the airport
Door to kerb, ordinary conditions. Downtown is short; the coastal resorts are genuine transfers and the numbers say so.

How Jacksonville resort transfers are priced
Resort and hotel transfers are quoted per route and confirmed in writing before you travel, with no surge pricing at any hour. The coastal properties are quoted as the genuine long transfers they are rather than as a local run with a surprise at the end.
Tell us the building or villa at the larger resorts. On a property with a mile of internal road it is the difference between arriving at your door and arriving at a gate with a walk ahead of you.
