Private aviation and FBO transfers in Las Vegas

Harry Reid handles most of the private traffic here, and in show week the ramp is as busy as anywhere in the world.

The Las Vegas fields

Las Vegas private movement concentrates at Harry Reid, where the FBO facilities sit on the opposite side of the field from the passenger terminals, with North Las Vegas and Henderson Executive taking the overflow and the smaller aircraft. During major shows and fight weekends the private ramp here is among the busiest anywhere, and ground transport needs arranging with the same care as the slot.

Harry Reid private terminals

The main private facilities sit across the field from the commercial terminals with their own access roads, so a vehicle sent to a terminal address is a long way from where it needs to be. We dispatch to the FBO by name. The ground time from here to any Strip resort is minutes rather than an hour.

North Las Vegas (VGT) and Henderson Executive (HND)

North Las Vegas sits north-west of the city and Henderson Executive to the south-east, both taking traffic that cannot or does not want to use the main field. Henderson is well placed for Lake Las Vegas and the southern suburbs; North Las Vegas for Summerlin and the north-west.

Show weeks and fight weekends

During the largest conventions and major fight nights the private ramp runs at capacity and parking on the field becomes the constraint rather than the airspace. Ground transport has to be booked with the same lead time as everything else. We will say plainly when a date is going to be difficult.

Las Vegas groups, heat and crew

Group arrivals on one aircraft

A large aircraft arriving with twelve or fourteen people is a multi-vehicle movement that needs an agreed order and one point of contact on the ramp, not three drivers arriving independently. Tell us the headcount and the luggage when you book and we will plan the vehicles rather than guess.

Desert heat and crew movements

Between May and September the ramp is genuinely hot, and a vehicle that has been standing is worse. We pre-cool before arrival, carry water and position as close to the aircraft as the FBO permits. Crew transfers recur here and work better as standing arrangements than as individual bookings.

From the Las Vegas private fields

Door to FBO, ordinary conditions. The Harry Reid figures are short, which is why almost everything routes through there.

How Las Vegas private aviation transfers are priced

FBO transfers are quoted per route and confirmed in writing before you travel, with no surge pricing at any hour. Waiting time is measured against the actual movement rather than a filed time, which during a show week when everything slips is the difference between a fair invoice and an argument.

Tell us the FBO, the tail number and the headcount when you book. For a group arrival we would rather plan three vehicles properly than send one and improvise the rest at the ramp.
