The Philadelphia venues we run to

Four major venues share one site in South Philadelphia. That is unusual, and it makes the departure a single very large, very predictable movement. The South Philadelphia sports complex puts the arena, two stadiums and a ballpark on one site with enormous surface parking and a subway line running to it, which takes a useful share of the crowd. That concentration makes event work here more predictable than in most cities. Center City venues are the harder ones, because they empty into narrow streets that were busy already.

Conventions, arenas and venues. The sports complex in South Philadelphia puts four major venues on one site, so an event night there is a single, predictable and very large movement.

Culture, dining and the region. The north-east corridor is the distinctive part of this market — New York and Washington are both routine day trips by road.

Pennsylvania Convention Center

Center City

A very large floor in the middle of Center City with entrances on several streets serving different halls. Because it sits downtown rather than on the edge, a big show pushes traffic through the whole grid. We confirm the hall and work from the quieter cross streets.

  • Center City
  • Several hall entrances
  • Pushes traffic through the grid

Wells Fargo Center

South Philadelphia

In the sports complex with enormous surrounding lots and a subway station on site, which takes a genuinely large share of the crowd. There are workable staging positions a short walk from the doors, which is more than most arenas offer.

  • Sports complex
  • Subway on site
  • Real staging positions

Lincoln Financial Field

South Philadelphia

On the same site, and a full house here is one of the larger single movements in the north-east. The lots and the subway absorb much of it. The constraint is the volume reaching Broad Street and the I-95 at once. We collect from an agreed lot rather than the gates.

  • Very large capacity
  • Broad Street and I-95
  • Collect from a lot

Citizens Bank Park

South Philadelphia

Also on the complex, with the same advantages and the same clash risk — two events here on one evening fill every approach. Otherwise among the more straightforward ballparks we work anywhere, with proper parking and clear exits.

  • Sports complex
  • Clash risk
  • Clear exits

Kimmel Center

Avenue of the Arts

On Broad Street on the Avenue of the Arts, with several performance spaces inside and the Academy of Music a block away. When both finish together Broad takes it all at once. We stage on the side streets rather than the avenue.

  • Broad Street
  • Multiple spaces
  • Side-street staging

Academy of Music

Avenue of the Arts

The oldest opera house in the country still in use, on Broad at Locust, with a narrow frontage and no forecourt at all. Formal nights bring a great deal of chauffeured traffic to a street that cannot hold it. An agreed point on Locust is the working answer.

  • No forecourt
  • Formal nights
  • Locust Street pickup

Philadelphia Museum of Art

Parkway

At the top of the Parkway with its own approach roads and plenty of space, which makes evening receptions here straightforward compared with most museum venues. Parkway events and races close the whole approach several times a year.

  • Own approach roads
  • Easy receptions
  • Parkway closures

The Met Philadelphia

North Broad

On North Broad Street, restored and busy, in a stretch that is less congested than Center City but has limited kerb space directly outside. The side streets work. Easy access to the expressway for a departure north or west.

  • North Broad
  • Limited kerb
  • Good expressway access

Getting to the Philadelphia venues

Door to venue, ordinary conditions. The right-hand column means an event night; two events at the sports complex together is worse than either alone.

How Philadelphia event work is priced

Event transfers are quoted per route, and event nights are usually better booked hourly — a performance does not end to a timetable. All of it is quoted per route and confirmed in writing before you travel, with no surge pricing at any hour.

For a corporate hospitality night at the sports complex we plan the departure as one staged movement from an agreed lot and give you a single point of contact rather than several drivers to find.
