The bridges matter more than the distance. The civic, legal and financial core sits on both sides of the St Johns River, connected by bridges that carry more weight in the journey than the distance does. The Southbank holds a share of the corporate offices and the riverfront hotels.
Deerwood & the Southside
Furthest from the airport: allow for it on early departures. The office parks here are spread out and set back, so the building matters. This side of the city is also furthest from the airport, which is worth factoring into any early departure.
St Johns Town Center & hotels
A practical base for meetings across the Southside. Access is straightforward and it sits central to the Southside office parks, which makes it a practical base for anyone with meetings spread across that side of Jacksonville.
The beaches & Ponte Vedra
Tournament season needs booking well ahead. Tournament season here changes traffic and availability across the whole coastal strip, and needs booking well ahead.
Amelia Island, St Augustine & the region
Coastal days are often better booked hourly. Amelia Island to the north and St Augustine to the south are both regular resort and event destinations, each far enough to be a proper transfer. Coastal work of this kind is often better booked hourly, since the schedule rarely holds to the plan.
