The Phoenix fields
Scottsdale Airport puts you in the middle of the resort and golf corridor. For most of the private traffic here, that is the whole point. Scottsdale Airport carries a great deal of the valley’s private movement and sits exactly where most of it wants to be — among the resorts, the golf and the north valley business. Sky Harbor takes private traffic on a busy commercial field, Phoenix Deer Valley serves the north-west and Mesa Gateway the east valley. We work from the tail number and coordinate with the FBO directly.
Scottsdale Airport (SDL)
One of the busiest single-runway general-aviation airports in the country and the natural arrival point for the resort and golf corridor. It sits minutes from the north Scottsdale resorts and the tournament venues, which for a large share of the traffic here is the entire reason to fly private in the first place.
Sky Harbor private terminals
Sky Harbor handles private movements alongside a substantial commercial operation, with FBO facilities away from the passenger terminals. For a downtown Phoenix or Tempe destination it is closer than Scottsdale, and for anything in the north valley it is not.
Deer Valley (DVT) and Mesa Gateway (IWA)
Phoenix Deer Valley serves the north-west valley and is another very busy general aviation field. Mesa Gateway sits well east and suits Mesa, Gilbert and the east valley, with more room and fewer constraints than the closer-in fields.

Summer heat is an operational detail
Between May and September the ramp is genuinely hot and a vehicle that has been standing is worse. We pre-cool before arrival rather than on the way, position as close to the aircraft as the FBO permits and carry water. Small things, and they are the difference between a good arrival and an uncomfortable one.
Tournament and season weeks
During the WM Phoenix Open and the peak of the winter season, Scottsdale Airport runs at capacity and so does every vehicle in the valley. Those weeks are planned as an operation rather than booked as they come, and a late request is a very different proposition from an early one.

How Phoenix private aviation transfers are priced
