The Phoenix venues we run to

The WM Phoenix Open is one of the largest attended golf events anywhere. For one week it is the only thing happening in north Scottsdale. Phoenix event work is concentrated in the cool months and dominated by a handful of very large occasions — the golf, spring training, the stadium events out at Glendale. Most of these venues have real parking and real road access, which makes them more workable than the urban equivalents elsewhere. The exception is tournament week, which reshapes north Scottsdale entirely and has to be planned rather than quoted.

Conventions, arenas and venues. The valley’s event calendar peaks in the cool months, and spring training in particular moves large numbers across the whole metropolitan area.

Culture, dining and the region. Golf, resort and desert work dominates outside the business calendar, and the drives out of the valley are long enough to be day hires.

TPC Scottsdale

North Scottsdale

Host of the WM Phoenix Open, which draws crowds no other golf event approaches and turns the roads around north Scottsdale into something unrecognisable for a week. Access moves to managed points and shuttle systems. We plan that week as an operation and advise on timing before the day.

  • WM Phoenix Open
  • Managed access
  • Planned as an operation

Phoenix Convention Center

Downtown Phoenix

Downtown with several halls and its own parking structures, in a district that is quiet outside event times and busy during them. Good road access by convention-centre standards. We confirm the hall rather than the building address.

  • Downtown
  • Own parking
  • Confirm the hall

Footprint Center

Downtown Phoenix

In downtown Phoenix next to the ballpark, with garages nearby and light rail running past. An arena night and a baseball night together fill the downtown core, which is the one combination worth checking. Otherwise a manageable departure.

  • Next to Chase Field
  • Light rail
  • Check for clashes

Chase Field

Downtown Phoenix

Immediately beside the arena, sharing approaches and parking. Spring training aside, this is the summer venue in a city where summer is indoors. Road access is good and the exits are clear. We collect from an agreed point rather than the gates.

  • Beside the arena
  • Shared approaches
  • Clear exits

State Farm Stadium

Glendale

Well west in Glendale with enormous surface parking and a sports and entertainment district around it. A genuine drive from Scottsdale and the resorts. The volume leaving at once is the constraint rather than the access. We stage clear and quote it as a long transfer.

  • Glendale
  • Enormous parking
  • Long from Scottsdale

Desert Botanical Garden

Papago Park

In Papago Park close to Sky Harbor, a common venue for evening receptions and private events, with limited vehicle access inside the grounds and a single approach road. Evening events here need an agreed pickup point rather than an assumption.

  • Papago Park
  • Single approach
  • Evening receptions

Spring training across the valley

Cactus League

Fifteen ballparks across the valley through February and March, with games at several each day and crowds spread rather than concentrated. It is a pleasant, low-stress kind of event work, and the only real planning issue is the distance between parks for anyone doing two in a day.

  • Fifteen ballparks
  • February and March
  • Distance between parks

Getting to the Phoenix venues

Door to venue, ordinary conditions. The right-hand column means an event night; tournament week at TPC is planned separately rather than estimated.

How Phoenix event work is priced

Event transfers are quoted per route, and event days are usually better booked hourly. All of it is quoted per route and confirmed in writing before you travel, with no surge pricing at any hour.

For tournament week and the peak of the winter season, book early. Those weeks commit most of the vehicles in the valley and a late request is a genuinely different proposition from an early one.
