The Nashville venues we run to
The Ryman and Bridgestone are two blocks apart in the middle of the Broadway closures. When both let out together there is no vehicle access worth attempting. Nashville packs its major venues into a few downtown blocks that are already closed to vehicles on the evenings those venues are busiest. That combination is unusual and it is the whole of event work here. We stage well clear, agree the collection point before the show rather than after it, and tell you exactly where to walk — which is reliably faster than anything else available.
Conventions, arenas and venues. The downtown venues sit close together, so a convention, an arena show and a stadium night can compound into a single very difficult evening.
Music, dining and the region. Evening work runs to the restaurant districts and the venues, and the surrounding towns are regular longer runs.
Music City Center
SoBro
A very large convention floor in SoBro with hotels attached and its own parking, well organised and easy to work by convention-centre standards. Large shows push traffic through the downtown grid and coincide with Broadway closures, which is the combination to plan for.
Bridgestone Arena
Broadway
Directly on Broadway, which is the whole problem — the street outside is closed to vehicles on exactly the nights the arena is full. There is no pickup at the doors and there never will be. We collect from an agreed corner several streets south or east.
Ryman Auditorium
Downtown
Two blocks from Bridgestone on 5th Avenue, in the middle of the same closures. When both venues let out together the whole district is pedestrian. The Ryman’s shows run long and finish unpredictably, which suits hourly hire better than a booked pickup.
Nissan Stadium
East Bank
Across the river on the East Bank, reached by bridges that become the entire journey when a full house leaves. A great many people walk across the pedestrian bridge into downtown, which helps. We stage on the east side rather than trying to cross back with the crowd.
Grand Ole Opry House
Opryland
Out east near the airport on the Opryland site with its own large car park and proper access — genuinely easy compared with the downtown venues. A different journey from a downtown show and worth confirming which venue a guest means, because the Opry also plays the Ryman in winter.
Schermerhorn Symphony Center
SoBro
On 4th Avenue South beside the Country Music Hall of Fame, with a covered entrance and access from the quieter southern side of downtown. Symphony audiences leave in one wave but into streets that are calmer than the Broadway blocks.
Ascend Amphitheater
Riverfront
On the riverfront downtown, an outdoor venue whose crowd leaves at once into the streets that are already closed for Broadway. Summer shows here coincide with the busiest evenings of the week. We work from well west of the park.
Geodis Park
Wedgewood-Houston
South of downtown in Wedgewood-Houston with its own parking and reasonable road access, newer and designed with vehicle movement in mind. Considerably easier to leave than any of the downtown venues. We collect from an agreed lot.
Getting to the Nashville venues
Door to venue, ordinary conditions. The right-hand column means an event night, which downtown almost always coincides with a street closure rather than merely traffic.
| Route | Approx. distance | Off-peak | Allow on an event night |
|---|---|---|---|
| Downtown to the Music City Center | 1 mile | 5–10 min | 18–35 min |
| Downtown to Bridgestone Arena | 1 mile | 5–10 min | 25–50 min |
| Downtown to Nissan Stadium | 2 miles | 8–14 min | 30–60 min |
| BNA to the Grand Ole Opry | 5 miles | 10–16 min | 20–38 min |
| Downtown to Geodis Park | 3 miles | 10–15 min | 25–45 min |
How Nashville event work is priced
Event transfers are quoted per route, and event evenings are almost always better booked hourly — a show does not end to a timetable and a vehicle released at the start of the evening cannot be recalled into a closed street. All of it is quoted per route and confirmed in writing before you travel, with no surge pricing at any hour.
For a group or a corporate hospitality night we plan the departure as one staged movement from a point agreed beforehand, and give you a single contact rather than several drivers to find in a crowd.
