How the Chicago day is built

A Loop morning and a suburban afternoon are two different cities. The vehicle that makes that work is the one that waited. Chicago corporate work splits between the Loop and the corridors out to Oak Brook, Schaumburg and the North Shore, and a day that touches both is not a series of clean transfers. Hourly hire suits it better: the vehicle stages nearby rather than leaving, so a meeting that runs long costs you the overrun and nothing else. Parking downtown is expensive enough that holding a vehicle is frequently cheaper than releasing and recalling one.

Hourly hire beats a chain of transfers

Downtown parking rates and the difficulty of finding a vehicle again on a Loop street at five o’clock mean that holding a car is usually the cheaper answer as well as the more reliable one. We plan the day around the appointments you actually have, and stage between them rather than returning to base.

  • Hourly hire
  • Parking economics
  • Staged between stops

The suburban corridors are a different day

Oak Brook, Schaumburg, Deerfield and Lake Forest carry a great deal of corporate Chicago, and a day that starts downtown and ends out there runs against the commute in the morning and with it at night. That is the good direction, and we will structure the day to use it where your schedule allows.

  • Oak Brook
  • Schaumburg
  • North Shore
  • Counter-commute

The same chauffeur across the visit

On a multi-day roadshow the chauffeur learns the party, the luggage and which tower entrance actually works in February. We assign a named chauffeur for the duration and give you a direct line to dispatch rather than an app that cannot answer a question.

  • Multi-day continuity
  • Direct dispatch

Chicago accounts and billing

Consolidated billing

Corporate accounts are invoiced monthly against cost centres, project codes or individual travellers, whichever your finance team uses. Each line carries the route, the vehicle, the chauffeur and the disclosed extras, so reconciliation does not require a phone call.

  • Monthly invoicing
  • Cost-centre coding
  • Line-level detail

Booked by assistants, for travellers

Most corporate bookings here are placed by someone who is not travelling, so the process is built for them: booking by email or phone, confirmations naming the chauffeur and vehicle, changes made by replying rather than re-entering a form.

  • Assistant-first
  • Email or phone
  • Simple changes

Between the Chicago business districts

These are the legs a Chicago corporate day is made of. The suburban runs move well against the commute and badly with it, which is worth planning around rather than discovering.

Notes on Chicago districts

The Loop & Michigan Avenue. The grid makes the Loop easier to work than most downtowns, with one significant exception: the bridges. We route around the river where the timing calls for it.

  • LaSalle Street
  • Michigan Avenue
  • Bridge-aware routing

River North & Streeterville. The hotel district and where most visiting executives actually sleep. Streeterville adds the medical campus traffic to the same few blocks.

  • Hotel cluster
  • Magnificent Mile
  • Streeterville

Fulton Market & the West Loop. The fastest-changing corporate district in the city, with technology and corporate headquarters now sitting where the meatpacking trade used to.

  • Fulton Market
  • Faster to O’Hare

McCormick Place & conventions. We plan convention work as a single operation rather than a series of bookings.

  • Show-week staging

North Shore, Oak Brook & the suburbs. Long-distance runs beyond the metropolitan area are quoted per trip.

  • Naperville

How Chicago corporate work is priced

Chicago is quoted per route and confirmed in writing before you travel, with no surge pricing at any hour — including during convention weeks, when the city’s rideshare pricing does the opposite. Hourly hire is available for multi-stop days, roadshows and event work. Rates are set per market, so a Chicago quote reflects Chicago.

Hourly hire is quoted at a market rate with a stated minimum and no surge at any hour. Point-to-point corporate transfers are quoted per route and confirmed in writing before you travel, with no surge pricing at any hour. Accounts are invoiced monthly with line-level detail.

For a day with three or more downtown stops, hourly hire is almost always cheaper than the equivalent transfers once parking is counted. We will tell you which way it falls for your day rather than defaulting to the larger number.
