How the Charlotte day is built
Uptown is a banking centre with tower forecourts that mostly work as intended. After New York and Boston, that is worth saying out loud. Charlotte’s corporate work is concentrated in Uptown banking and professional services, with SouthPark and Ballantyne carrying business further south and the research park to the north-east. The Uptown tower forecourts are properly designed and genuinely usable, which makes this an easy city to run. The planning here is about the distances south rather than about finding somewhere to stop.
Uptown is compact, the south is not
A morning spent entirely in Uptown rarely needs a car at all, and we will say so. What needs a vehicle is the day that runs Uptown to SouthPark to Ballantyne, which is twenty miles of suburban road at the far end. Hourly hire keeps the car with you rather than driving it back Uptown between stops.
Banking hours and the schedule that follows
A great deal of this work is client and deal driven, which means days that start early and run past dinner with a schedule nobody controls. Hourly hire with a chauffeur who stays with the party through the evening is the structure that fits, rather than a booked pickup nobody will make.
The same chauffeur across the visit
On a multi-day programme the chauffeur learns the party, the towers and which Uptown loading points are open during whatever construction is current. We assign a named chauffeur and give you a direct line to dispatch rather than an app.

Invoicing that suits professional services
Banking, legal and consulting clients here typically need journeys coded to a client, a matter or a deal so they can be recharged accurately. We capture that reference at booking rather than reconstructing it at month end, and the invoice arrives already broken out the way it needs to be recharged.
Booked by assistants across time zones
A share of this work is placed from other offices and other time zones for people arriving here, so bookings need to be possible at any hour and changes need to be simple. Email or phone, confirmations naming the chauffeur and vehicle, and amendments by reply.
Between the Charlotte business districts
These are the legs a Charlotte corporate day is made of. The southern runs are the ones that carry real distance.

Notes on Charlotte districts
Uptown. Charlotte’s downtown, called Uptown by everyone who lives there, and the centre of its banking and legal work. It is compact, modern and easy to drive, with tower forecourts that mostly work as intended.
SouthPark & South End. South End, closer in, has taken on the newer offices and restaurants along the light rail line. Both are straightforward to work and sit convenient to the airport.
Ballantyne & the southern corridor. The office parks strung along the southern edge of the city and over towards the South Carolina line carry a substantial corporate presence.
University City & the north. The university, the research park and the corporate campuses north-east of the city, plus the motorsport industry concentrated around Concord and Mooresville.
Lake Norman and the region. Lake Norman to the north carries residential and resort work, and the Carolinas beyond Charlotte are regular long-distance territory — Raleigh, Greenville, Asheville and the coast are all quoted per trip.
How Charlotte corporate work is priced
Charlotte is quoted per route and confirmed in writing before you travel, with no surge pricing at any hour. Hourly hire is available for multi-stop days, roadshows and golf or event work. Rates are set per market, so a Charlotte quote reflects Charlotte.
Hourly hire is quoted at a market rate with a stated minimum and no surge at any hour. Point-to-point transfers are quoted per route and confirmed in writing before you travel, with no surge pricing at any hour. Accounts are invoiced monthly with line-level detail against client or matter codes.
If your day is entirely inside Uptown we will tell you honestly that you may not need a car. That costs us the booking and keeps the relationship, which is the trade we prefer to make.
