Charlotte Douglas International (CLT)
One of the busiest connecting hubs in the country, which means a large share of its traffic never leaves the terminal and the arrivals roadway behaves better than the passenger numbers imply. Concourses feed into a single ticketing and baggage level, so pickups are simpler here than at most hubs of comparable size. We meet inside and track the aircraft rather than the board.
Single arrivals level · Major connecting hub · Meet & greet
Private aviation
Charlotte carries heavy corporate private traffic, handled through the FBOs at the international airport and the executive fields to the north and east of the city. The motorsport industry concentrated north of Charlotte generates a distinct stream of its own. For private arrivals we work from the tail number and coordinate with the FBO directly. Tell us the field and the FBO when you book and we will confirm coverage before you travel.

Where we work in Charlotte
Uptown
Easy to drive, except on arena and stadium nights. Charlotte’s downtown, called Uptown by everyone who lives there, and the centre of its banking and legal work. Event nights at the arena and the stadium are the exception, closing streets rather than merely slowing them.
SouthPark & South End
Both are straightforward and convenient to the airport. SouthPark holds much of the city’s higher-end hotel, retail and professional office space, and is where a good share of visiting executives actually stay. South End, closer in, has taken on the newer offices and restaurants along the light rail line.
Ballantyne & the southern corridor
Schedule morning departures earlier than the estimate. The distance from the airport is real and the corridor fills at peak, so a morning departure from Ballantyne needs earlier scheduling than the estimate implies.
University City & the north
Much of the travel here runs to the executive fields. This is a genuinely distinct part of Charlotte’s economy and it generates its own travel patterns, much of it to the executive fields rather than the main airport.
Lake Norman and the region
Golf days are usually better booked hourly. Golf work through the season is steady and usually better booked hourly than as transfers.
Typical journey times to Charlotte Douglas
Charlotte’s airport is close in and the interstates around it move reasonably well outside peak, which makes most transfers here shorter than the map suggests.
| From | Approx. distance | Off-peak | Allow in peak |

| SouthPark | 13 miles | 20–28 min | 35–55 min |

Hotel transfers in Charlotte
Uptown tower forecourts mostly work as intended, which is not true of every market. The Ballantyne sits well south and a morning flight from there needs an earlier start than the distance suggests.
Events & venues in Charlotte
Race weekends at the Speedway north-east of the city are among the largest single movements in the Carolinas and need planning as an operation. Quail Hollow tournament week changes access across south Charlotte.
Pinehurst and Asheville are full-day runs quoted per trip and suit a day hire. Golf season here is long and generates steady recurring corporate-entertainment work.

Universities & campuses in Charlotte
Davidson is a genuine drive north of the city and should be quoted as a transfer rather than a local run. Carolinas Medical Center sits just south of Uptown with constrained access at shift change.
