The Raleigh–Durham venues we run to

Cameron Indoor sits in the middle of the Duke campus with almost no vehicle access on a game night. That is not a flaw, it is the plan. Triangle venues are spread across three cities rather than clustered, which mostly helps — event traffic disperses instead of concentrating. What concentrates here is the college calendar: a Duke or UNC basketball night fills that city entirely, and commencement weekends are larger again. We stage clear of venues, come forward on a call, and plan the big college dates as operations.

Conventions, arenas and venues. The venues are spread across three cities rather than clustered, which mostly helps — event traffic disperses instead of concentrating.

Culture, dining and the region. Evening work runs to the downtown restaurant districts, and the coast and mountains are both within a day.

Raleigh Convention Center

Downtown Raleigh

In downtown Raleigh with hotels attached and its own parking, well organised and easy to work. Downtown Raleigh handles crowds better than most capitals its size. We confirm the hall for larger shows and work from the quieter cross streets.

  • Downtown Raleigh
  • Attached hotels
  • Easy access

Lenovo Center

West Raleigh

West of Raleigh sharing a site with Carter-Finley and substantial surface parking, which genuinely helps — there are workable staging positions a short walk from the gates. Two events on the site at once is the combination to check for.

  • Shares the site
  • Surface parking
  • Check for clashes

Carter-Finley Stadium

West Raleigh

Beside the arena on the same site, and a full house here is one of the larger movements in the region. The lots absorb a great deal; the constraint is the volume reaching Wade Avenue and the beltline at once. We stage clear and collect from an agreed lot.

  • Beside the arena
  • Wade Avenue fills
  • Collect from a lot

Durham Performing Arts Center

Downtown Durham

In the American Tobacco district downtown with garages nearby and a crowd that disperses into the surrounding restaurants rather than leaving all at once. One of the easier venues here to work. We collect from an agreed point a street or two out.

  • American Tobacco
  • Crowd disperses
  • Garages nearby

Cameron Indoor Stadium

Duke campus

In the middle of the Duke campus with almost no vehicle access on a game night and student crowds that fill the surrounding paths. This is the most constrained pickup in the Triangle. We agree a point on the campus perimeter before the game rather than negotiating it after.

  • Middle of campus
  • No vehicle access
  • Perimeter agreed in advance

Dean E. Smith Center

UNC Chapel Hill

On the UNC campus in Chapel Hill with its own lots but a single main approach that fills completely on a game night. A win sends students onto Franklin Street, which closes it. We plan Chapel Hill game nights around the result as well as the schedule.

  • Own lots
  • Single approach
  • Franklin Street after a win

Coastal Credit Union Music Park

Walnut Creek

An amphitheatre south-east of Raleigh with a single main approach and a large lawn crowd leaving at once. Amphitheatre departures are among the slowest there are. We hold well clear and walk you out rather than sitting in the lot.

  • Single approach
  • Large lawn crowd
  • Hold well clear

Koka Booth Amphitheatre

Cary

In Cary beside a lake, smaller and considerably easier than the Walnut Creek venue, with its own parking and a manageable crowd. Close to RDU and to the Cary hotels, which makes a combined evening straightforward.

  • Cary
  • Manageable crowd
  • Close to RDU

Getting to the Raleigh–Durham venues

Door to venue, ordinary conditions. The right-hand column means an event night; a Duke or UNC game is planned separately rather than estimated.

How Raleigh–Durham event work is priced

Event transfers are quoted per route, and college game nights are almost always better booked hourly — a game does not end to a timetable and the campus streets close afterwards. All of it is quoted per route and confirmed in writing before you travel, with no surge pricing at any hour.

For commencement weekends at Duke, UNC or NC State, book well ahead. Those weekends commit most of the vehicles in the region and fill every hotel in that city.
