One terminal, one roadway
Austin-Bergstrom runs from a single main terminal with a compact arrivals level and a short walk from baggage to the kerb. That simplicity is the genuine advantage of this airport. Event weeks change the arrivals picture
During SXSW and ACL the airport runs far above its usual volume and the ground transportation areas back up in a way they never otherwise do. Those weeks need booking well ahead and a realistic pickup time. We say so at booking rather than explaining it at the terminal.
Delays and early landings
